Duke University Hospital

With 957 inpatient beds, it offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center; a major surgery suite containing 51 operating rooms; an endo-surgery center; an ambulatory surgery center with nine operating rooms, and an extensive diagnostic and interventional radiology area. U.S News & World Report named Duke University Hospital #1 in North Carolina and #1 in the Raleigh-Durham area in 2020-21.

Duke Regional Hospital 

Duke Regional Hospital has served Durham, Orange, Person, Granville, and Alamance counties and the surrounding communities for nearly 40 years. With 369 inpatient beds, it offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services, including orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, women’s services, and heart and vascular services, and offers care at the Duke Rehabilitation Institute and Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center.

Duke Raleigh Hospital/Regional Anesthesia, PLLC

Our growing facility currently has 18 operating rooms and four procedural rooms with intraoperative CT capabilities, and currently averages over 65 cases per day and 17,000 per year. We provide all perioperative specialties except obstetrics, open heart, and transplant. Regional Anesthesia, PLLC (RA) is the Community Division of the Duke University Department of Anesthesiology and consists of more than 40 anesthesiologists and more than 60 certified registered nurse anesthetists. Regional Anesthesia, PLLC’s Anesthesia Care Team consists of a supervising anesthesiologist, and a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). The Anesthesia Care Team has proven to be the most cost-effective, safest, and efficient anesthesia delivery system at every step of care.

Stipend Program

$1,000 per month stipend offered to SRNAs for each month of the doctorate program and, simultaneously, extend the work obligation to the same number of months. For example, a DNP SRNA in a 36-month program would receive a $36,000 stipend with a 36-month work obligation with DUHS upon graduation.
*$1,500 for in-state and$3,000 for out-of-state.
